Our Open Access week this year has run from 28th October 2024 to 1st November 2024 guided by the theme “Community over Commercialization”

On October 30, 2024, Uganda Martyrs University celebrated Open Access Week based on the theme “Navigating the Publishing Landscape: Subscription-Based Vs. Open Access Models”

Open access is an element of Open Science. Open Science represents a movement toward transparent and accessible research, with open access serving as one of its fundamental pillars. To understand open access fully, we must first explore the broader concept of Open Science.
