The study was on assessing the effectiveness of mens involvement in scaling up reproductive health in Soroti district.
The objectives of the study were to establish factors that would influence men effectiveness in scaling up in reproductive health, and responsible solutions that would encourage mens involvement in reproductive health programmes.
The study design was adopted both qualitative and quantitative approaches were employed while data was collected using questioners, interviews and FGDs from the 50 respondents. The research major findings showed that assessing the effectiveness of mens involvement range from supporting house hold chose, psychological and emotional support, plan for the families they can manage to cater for hence reduce on mortality rates.
The data has been electronically analyzed with the use of statistical packages and presented in tables which are described and interpreted in relation to mens effectiveness in scaling up reproductive health to address the research questions.
The researcher recommends the government to join hands with other development partners to sensitize the masses on the importance of mens effective involvement in RH. In addition the health developmental partners should train and equip the VHTs to carry out continuous sensitization on the importance of RH right from the time of conception to post natal care. Further more the local leaders should enact by-laws on reproductive health programmes
Finally government should set up polices for couple attendance during antenatal visits in order to boast mens effectiveness to enhance reproductive health at all health facilities
