Library Week 11th – 15th September 2017

The 2017/18 academic year Library Week will take place from 11th – 15th September 2017. During the week, the Library staff will be interacting with the University Community (Students and staff) about issues relating to the Library Services and Resources. Among other things, Library staff will;

  1. Show users how to access Resources for courses/dissertations
  2. Using the online databases and journals
  3. Using the Library catalogue
  4. Using Google Scholar
  5. Exploring deeply the Library portal features /links
  6. Accessing the eResources while off campus
  7. Register users especially new students and staff
  8. Update user records
  9. Respond to all queries relating to the Library

Students and staff are requested to at least reserve ten minutes during the week to come and find out about resources available, and learn from the Library staff how they can access them. Among new resources to be exhibited are:

  • E-book Central – a database for electronic books available for free to the university community
  • New features of the library portal – access to online past papers, dissertations, staff publications, .etc.
The venue will be the Graduation Square, starting at 9.00am till 5.00pm We look forward to seeing you in the course of the Week.
